Antique Cary Safe Co. Safe – Buffalo, New York

A beautifully preserved historically important fully working combination Cary Safe Co. safe from Buffalo, New York, circa 1915-1920's, featuring its original deep burgundy door, contrasting black exterior, hand-painted gold pinstriping, and classic combination lock. Rich with character and Old World craftsmanship, this piece evokes the elegance of turn-of-the-century banks, mercantile establishments, and grand estates.

The interior retains its original fitted wood compartments, including two drawers and a locking interior cash box, all trimmed with delicate inlaid detailing. The substantial steel construction is complemented by decorative cast feet and working casters, giving the safe both presence and mobility.

Today, this remarkable piece functions as both a conversation-starting decorative object and a practical storage cabinet. Equally at home in a library, study, wine room, office, boutique, or curated eclectic interior, it brings authenticity, history, and architectural interest to any space.

Its rich colors, original hardware, and beautifully crafted interior make it a rare decorative statement that is increasingly difficult to find.
