Some objects enter our lives quietly.

Others arrive carrying stories.

This extraordinary antique French lectern came into my care many years ago after a moment I have never forgotten. The first time I stood behind it, words began flowing through me with unusual clarity and presence. Two dear friends witnessed the spontaneous channeling that followed, and in that moment I knew this piece was meant to travel home with me.

Its origins are believed to be French, with the timeless character of old-world craftsmanship. Layers of age, worn paint, and centuries of touch have given it the appearance of something rescued from a forgotten monastery, chapel, or castle library.

Ironically, despite its grandeur, it never found a truly majestic role within my own home. For years it served as a wonderfully unconventional wall in our studio, tucked behind a twelve-foot purple velvet curtain. Sacred and practical. Regal and ridiculous. Perfectly itself.

I have often felt that the treasures I collect are pieces of my own soul scattered across time. This lectern feels very much like one of those pieces.
